Church Planting Podcasts
There are lots of good church planting resources available these days. If you’re an auditory learner (or multi-tasker), podcasts are a great way to pick up practical tips and be encouraged by others who are planting or have planted churches. We polled the Auxilio staff and came up with our top 5 favorite church planting podcasts right now:

The 5 Points Church Planting Podcast is a new podcast about church planting from a reformed and Presbyterian perspective. The hosts, John St. Martin and Hunter Townsend Brewer, are church planters from different parts of the country, each offering their unique perspective while at the same time sharing a heart for church planting throughout the country. We particularly enjoy the diversity of topics and guests and the practical encouragement the podcast offers.

The Church Planting Podcast is a weekly, interview podcast intended to help church planters and sending churches aspiring to make more disciples through church planting. It is hosted by Clint Clifton, the Senior Director of Development for the North American Mission Board and founding pastor of Pillar Church in Dumfries, VA and Josh Turansky, pastor and planter of Haven City Church in Baltimore, MD. The podcast is unapologetically pragmatic in it’s approach to church planting.

Everything Just Changed by PCA ministers Brad Edwards and Bryce Hales was started just after the coronavirus pandemic took hold in the U.S. and takes a deep dive into the cultural moment in which the church finds itself. The podcast seeks to offer perspective on a range of topics confronting the church. It's theologically rich, yet practically accessible and pastoral.

The New Churches Podcast was started several years ago by the leaders over at Lifeway. Over the years, Lifeway has started several other leadership podcast but New Churches continues to stand out as the hosts (both former and current pastors/planters themselves) continue to speak to the changing landscape of church planting, leadership development, ideas around acquiring a building, social media engagement, and general discipleship. The podcast has been helpful to many planters as the hosts speak to the issues that simply are not taught in seminary.

The PCA Church Leader Podcast is a conglomerate of ideas from leaders within the PCA that range from churches that are new plants to well tenured, established churches. The podcast speaks to a broad audience. While it offers very helpful practical advice, it also engages the community of the PCA. Meaning, it reminds you that no matter where God has called you, no matter the size of the church you shepherd, your hands are to the plow, in the trenches with many other men and women in the domination. Could that concept be any more relevant today?
